Return Policy

If you encounter any issues with your Ackee Tree Clothing purchase, please reach out to us. We have a 30 days return policy. Exchanges and returns are welcome, unless otherwise excluded in the item description or this policy. 15% restocking fee on returns, and buyer pays return shipping costs unless the item is damaged. Please note that any free item must also be returned.

**Returns**

We want you to love your purchase, but if you're not completely satisfied, you may make returns within 30 days uunder certain conditions. Returns need pre authorization so please contact us before starting a return. Unless damaged, refund is less initial shipping costs and buyer pays any return shipping. The refund will be sent back to the method payment within 7 days. There is no refund of a shipping upgrade, or express shipping cost. Returns must be within specified 30 days or return will be refused.

 Damaged items require picture proof within 7 days of delivery. We will either resend an agreed upon replacement, or make a full refund within 48 hours. We will send the return label for damaged items. Please keep and photograph packaging showing damage to the product, as this will be necessary for starting a claim with the post office. 

There are no returns for items not received by a specific date unless priority express shipping was purchased, and/or as the seller I explicitly guaranteed before the date. The date must have been left at checkout in the notes AND agreed on in prior messages. Priority mail and first class (free shipping) have estimated delivery guidelines, and no guaranteed delivery dates. Shipments by these methods will not be refunded for missing estimated delivery dates provided by the post.

For any exchanges, customers pay return shipping and reshipping costs both ways. All exchanges must be discussed prior to sending for my approval and the item sent back within stated number days after delivery. Exchanges must be returned within 14 days after delivery date. Outside of this period, the return will be considered a forced return and the package will be rejected. If a package is returned without prior authorization, it will be considered a forced return and will be refused/returned to buyer at buyers cost.

With any event-specific items, I require that customers contact me with any issues BEFORE the event. I do not accept returns of event-specific products after the event has passed. Examples such as Kentucky Derby bow ties, Christmas, Easter weekend. 

I will consider an exchange if there is any issue with the craftsmanship provided I’m informed before the event and the item is sent back before the event. For any agreed on exchange, customers pay return shipping and reshipping costs both ways. All exchanges must be discussed prior to sending for approval and the item sent back within 30 days after delivery date.

    Note that there are some EXCLUSIONS to our return policy. Missing an event dead,ins (unless we guaranteed delivery), Final Sale, Custom Orders, and Multi Orders of the Same Items, are excluded from our return policy.

    - return unworn, unwashed, and undamaged NON CUSTOM items within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.

    - there are no returns on final sale items, large orders with multiple items of the same (eg. 10 bandana outfits) or custom orders unless there is a verifiable issue with sizing.

    As a small shop, we simply cannot absorb costs for returns on large orders when there are no issues with the items.

  • ALL returns must be pre-authorized. Forced returns, or 'return to sender' packages due to incorrect address or customer changed their minds, will incur a restocking fee.
  • The restocking fee is 15% of the item's price except for damaged product returns. Any expedited shipping costs incurred to send the package out, will also be deducted from the sale price before any refund.

   Please note we take pictures of our items before sending.

**Cancellations**

    As we are a small made-to-order shop, once we cut the fabric for your item unfortunately we can no longer cancel. We do not typically hold stock items, and so each item is made when you order it.

    Any cancellation must be made preferable within 24 hours but definitely within 48 hours to ensure we haven’t yet started the order. This does mot apply for orders shipped within 2 days.

**Processing & Shipping**

    The expected ship date is given on your order receipt and I ship anytime up to and within 24 hours of this date. I am a small made-to-order shop, which means I need processing time to make each quality item. Orders are typically processed and shipped within 5-7 business days or as stated at checkout.

      Please allow for shipping time which is ADDITIONAL to stated processing time. Please ensure that the item is shipping to your current address. Expedited priority mail or priority express shipping, does NOT mean I can ship earlier. It just means that once shipped, your item is delivered quicker.

** Confirm Shipping Address**

   Please check and ensure shipping address is correct. This cannot be changed after shipping. Buyer is responsible for items sent to shipping address provided.

   Items returned because of incorrect shipping address will not be refunded nor canceled as items are made to order just for you. Customer will need to pay shipping again to have item returned.    

   Original shipping is forfeited with any return.

**Lost or Stolen Packages**

    Packages lost in transit by USPS will be replaced or refunded based on availability of materials. Item if reshipped, will be shipped using same shipping speed paid for by customer. Items are not considered lost before USPS guidelines
 Please provide a safe location for packages at your residence.

  •   If package is marked delivered but you cannot find it, please contact your post office You can request GPS coordinates that show exactly where package was left.

> If package is confirmed left at your residence

- check around house, such as on porches, back door etc, to see if mailman left in another spot

- ask if another member of the household may have taken it in or a neighbor took it up for safe keeping.

> If package is still not found then unfortunately it may have been stolen. In this case, I recommend making a police report about your stolen item. If police are aware they may be able to locate your stolen goods or be aware that an unscrupulous person is targeting your neighborhood and stealing packages.                  
     However, while I sincerely commiserate, I cannot replace or refund for a delivered stolen package. I can however offer you a discount on a repurchase (varies on the product) once you furnish a copy of the police report of the report number for verification purposes.

> If package is marked delivered but GPS shows it was left someplace else than your home

- ask the post office to retrieve your mail

- If near to your location, ask neighbor to return your mail

If attempts to retrieve mail fail, I will gladly refund or replace item and ship as per original ship method once post office confirms mail was misdelivered.

**Special Promotions and Free Shipping**

Free shipping promotions applies to the entire order going to one single address. If you need to ship to two separate addresses please order items separately. I reserve the right to cancel or invoice for an order which includes a note to split the order and ship to separate addresses.

 We reserve the right to cancel orders for to circumstances to include but aren’t limited to stacking discount codes or incorrect pricing due to a glitch or pricing error.

**International Customers**

International customers may be required to pay custom duties. This cost is NOT included in the price of the product or shipping. The duties are determined by your country and it is illegal for me as a seller to mark item as a gift. If the possibility of paying duties do not work for you, please cancel the order within 24 hours. International shipping may take a few weeks so please plan accordingly.
